Our commitments
Quality, environment, communities and partners: what guides SODICOM Bio every day.
Untreated production, independently certified
As certified by CERD engineers and the Djiboutian LANAA laboratory, Bio Arta natural mineral water meets the health requirements recommended by the World Health Organisation (WHO). Its exceptionally stable physico-chemical composition compared to other bottled waters — constant and untreated — gives it therapeutic qualities comparable to rainwater, with health benefits particularly for infants and the elderly.
Bio water is one of the few sources in Djibouti able to claim superior quality thanks to its water quality control. This control is extremely rigorous: water quality monitoring is carried out through physico-chemical and microbiological checks, to verify the stability of the mineral composition and ensure no accidental pollution has occurred.
Under the continuous monitoring of SODICOM Bio's own lab technician and the monthly monitoring of the national LANAA laboratory, regular analysis is carried out before and during production, with results compared against thresholds set according to operating conditions and international standards.

Thanks to technical know-how built up over several years, SODICOM Bio has acquired the resources and quality approach it needs, based on good manufacturing practice and risk-analysis principles, moving toward a leading-edge food industry — a constant improvement to effectively meet the growing needs of the national and regional market in the short, medium and long term.
Water, a precious gift of nature
One of the most important of all creations, water is a precious gift of nature — preserving it is an essential environmental concern for SODICOM Bio.
Providing uniquely high-quality, accessible water
SODICOM Bio is committed to supplying a daily quantity of uniquely high-quality mineral water. Bio natural mineral water is a treasure of nature, responsibly harnessed by a conscientious industry; it is bottled with the utmost care directly at the source, guaranteeing that its original natural qualities are preserved. In line with regulations, SODICOM Bio is committed to sustainable management of natural resources, contributing positively to economic, social and environmental development by supporting local initiatives that strengthen community participation around the Gued-Karwayné source, in the Arta region, and sustain collective prosperity.
Recycled and recyclable packaging (in progress)
Aware of the crucial role its activity plays in the quality of life of the people of Gued-Karwayné village and of the environmental stakes involved, and mindful of preserving the planet's natural resources, SODICOM Bio is committed to manufacturing its still mineral water bottles from recycled plastic. As part of a broader effort to reduce its carbon footprint, the company plans to integrate recycling into the Bio water bottle's life cycle and, in the near future, to offer all its in-store products in recycled plastic packaging. This corporate social responsibility places, at the heart of its strategy, awareness and education initiatives for its consumers and users on protecting a cleaner, more sustainable environment.
Supporting food hygiene
SODICOM Bio sponsors the local artisanal fresh-milk industry, under the slogan: "Djibouti, the milk sellers of yesterday and today." Artisanal curdled milk, with its superb, smooth texture and rich in probiotics, is made from local fresh milk and bottled — a product combining health and tradition. To support and improve food hygiene and the expertise of these women, SODICOM Bio supplies empty bottles to fresh and curdled milk sellers in the Arta region, to avoid the use of reclaimed bottles.
Deep socioeconomic, community and local roots
SODICOM Bio actively takes part in numerous initiatives and events: online communication (Facebook, X); sponsorship of activities such as the Miss Djibouti pageant and sporting events (the Arta walk and foot races); patronage and sponsorship — donating scrubs and Bio water bottles to hospital paediatric wards, grants to several charitable associations, distribution of food rations during Ramadan to rural households around the plant, distribution of children's clothing for Eid, support for the Association for the Blind, and participation in international trade fairs held in Djibouti. A project is also under way with the Djiboutian coast guard for bottle collection operations along the coastline, to preserve a clean and sustainable environment.

At the heart of our news, our communities
The leadership of the Bio mineral water brand has always been firmly committed to contributing to socioeconomic and cultural development, and to preserving the environment. This commitment is measured through many concrete sponsorship and patronage initiatives, supporting sporting, cultural and recreational activities, as well as charitable associations, vulnerable social groups and people with disabilities — as well as through access to employment, by welcoming and hiring young graduates fresh out of university and vocational training institutions.
To give substance to the group's civic commitment, numerous solidarity initiatives are supported in Djibouti City and in the Arta region: sponsorship of cultural activities (the Miss Djibouti pageant), sporting events (the Arta walk and foot races), support for local education initiatives (support for the Association for the Blind) and for health (donations to paediatric wards, a grant to the Lions Club Association), as well as grants to several charitable associations.
As part of its humanitarian patronage, the SODICOM Bio group has developed initiatives to support neighbouring local communities and the populations of the Arta region and Djibouti City: distributing clean empty bottles to fresh milk sellers along the RN1 road corridor, distributing food rations during Ramadan to rural households around the plant, and distributing children's clothing for Eid.
On the environmental front, the group has supported several bottle-collection drives to protect and clean up the environment near the plant, as well as during the peace walk held as part of the Arta hiking event. The company is also preparing a project with the Djiboutian coast guard for bottle-collection operations along the coastline.
Building a relationship of trust, transparency and shared value
For nearly 20 years, building strong partnerships has been second nature to the leadership of the SODICOM Bio group — a value they have never stopped developing with all their customers, suppliers and partners. These relationships, built on transparency and ethics, have allowed us to build a reputation and credibility that today extend beyond the borders of our production plant, and to shape our calling as a responsible corporate citizen.
These sustained efforts create value for our offering, which steadily wins the trust of an ever-growing number of customers, suppliers, resellers and everyday consumers.
To maintain and sustain these relationships of trust and strategic partnerships, SODICOM Bio's leadership works on joint projects with its partners, and supports numerous initiatives every year in the areas of solidarity and social support, environmental protection, and the promotion of cultural, recreational and sporting activities, as well as support for educational and health-related activities — all creating lasting, shared value for every citizen, for civil society, and for the future of our country.
